Do I need to download an app?

No. Slothwise works entirely through text messaging (RCS or SMS). You also have access to the companion app on iOS and Android, but all core features work via text except for Apple and Google Health. Those require downloading a native app. Text APPLE HEALTH or GOOGLE HEALTH in the chat to get a priority waitlist spot.
