The short answer: yes, Slothwise is a real product from a real company, reviewed by organizations that are not us. The better answer is the rest of this page, because you should not take a company's word for its own legitimacy. Every claim below can be checked on a page we do not control.

Start with the page we cannot edit: Medicare.gov

Slothwise is listed in the Medicare App Library, the page where Medicare lists health apps that passed an independent review. Our listing is at medicare.gov/health-apps/slothwise, on the federal Medicare.gov domain, in the "All apps available" section. To be listed there, an app must clear requirements Medicare states plainly: an independent verification of its privacy and security practices, built-in identity verification, access only to the Medicare data the user chooses to share, and a rule that listed apps never sell or share your data.

Two details worth knowing about that page. First, we cannot write it; the descriptions of how Slothwise handles data are published by Medicare, including that users can "disconnect a source, or delete their account and data at any time." Second, being listed is not an endorsement, and we would not claim it is; the library presents listed apps side by side without ranking or recommending one over another. What the listing means is that someone other than us checked the basics. • The company. Slothwise is built by 360H, Inc., the company named on our Medicare.gov listing and our app store pages.

• The app stores. The listings are public, with reviews we cannot delete: the App Store and Google Play. Both are also linked from the Medicare.gov page.

• The identity layer. Connecting Medicare information to Slothwise runs through the same identity verification services used across the federal government (ID.me, CLEAR, or Login.gov), a check we could not fake if we wanted to. How that works, in plain English.

What Slothwise actually does

Slothwise brings your medical records, insurance claims, wearable readings, medications, and everyday tracking together in one place, learns what is normal for you, and answers questions about your own information in plain language. You can use it in the app or right from your text messages, and it is free to start, with no credit card.

Just as important: what Slothwise is not

An honest legitimacy page has to include the limits, so here they are:

• Slothwise is not a doctor and does not practice medicine. In the words of our own Medicare.gov listing: "All output is informational and educational; the app does not diagnose, treat, or direct care," and it refers users to their clinicians for medical decisions.

• Slothwise cannot change your coverage, enroll you in anything, or affect your benefits in any way.

Is Slothwise free? Free to start, with optional paid features, exactly as the Medicare.gov listing states. No credit card is needed to begin.

Does Slothwise train AI on my health data? No, and you do not have to take our word for it; Medicare's page describing Slothwise states it directly: "AI processing occurs under data processing agreements that prohibit training on user data, with zero-data-retention routing enforced."
